Comfort Inn PA Turnpike - I-81

Deciding last-minute to get off the turnpike because of bad weather conditions, we found this an excellent choice. Check in: easy and kinda fun because of a delightful clerk. So friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable with excellent bedding and towels, wall dispensers for toiletries, responsive heating unit, micro-fridge and in-room coffee. Bathroom was immaculate. Breakfast was very nice and well-attended by a friendly hostess (so helpful). Hot/cold cereal and oatmeal, breads and bagels and pastries, yogurt, sausage and egg patties, juices, fresh fruit. We're long-time Choice Privileges members, and this hotel was well within the parameters we expect.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn because we needed a dog friendly stay. We didn’t complain or change our room. We were glad to have a place to lay our heads. The refrigerator and microwave were dirty. Very dirty. The floor looked like it was not vacuumed and my dog was eating pieces of white spots on the floor. Looked like popcorn so my husband and I went around the floor picking them up. They weren’t big but still there. I saw some sparkles. Not many but I’m assuming this room was not cleaned after New Years possibly. The hot water in breakfast area was not hot in evening. Went again in the morning and it was still not hot. I asked if there was a microwave. The desk/breakfast attendant showed me where it was. I told her I wanted hot water. She mentioned that it was in the break

We had a very positive experience when staying for one night mid December. The staff were polite and friendly. Our room clean with fresh bedding and a comfortable mattress. I did have to call the front desk to request a blow dryer. I would like to recommend a body wash dispenser in the shower. Overall, we recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

Positive: We loved the staff, who were very friendly and helpful. It was a nice location, somewhat secluded. Negative: The pool was a little cool, especially in winter. Also could have had more breakfast options, though what they had was good.

What an amazing stay with the best hospitality!!! Brandi Freet at the front desk was absolutely incredible. Our truck broke on our 2nd day and she had a mechanic in the parking lot within the hour. 3 hours later and assistance to get to the part store plus helping with our dog...we were good to go and continue our journey as planned the following morning. This hotel always makes us feel like family! Thank you for letting our holiday trip happen on time and so grateful and truly blessed!
