Motel 6 Artesia, NM

We traveled by honda power from Cali to Texas and back for firefighter training. This is by far the best motel 6 we have stayed in. It's clean no roaches the attendants are friendly and kind and coffee! To sum it up, they are the best absolutely the best you can ask anyone. May the Gods bless you.

This hotel is clean, smells great and has exactly what you will need staying in Artesia. The owner in on site and her staff and her and very very nice and acomidating! We booked two night but had to leave after the first night and the owner had no problem crediting our card and only wished us well. All rooms are non smoking but there are ashtrays out side every second room. There is a nice clean out door pool to relax. The heat in Artesia is very hard to handle so the air conditioners in the rooms work great. We have been here a few times and had different rooms. They were a very good! We were last in room 117, great spot right in the middle.

Lied to me about the room availability and charged me for a double room. Spent a $100+ on the room and the junkies kept me up all night banging around. Horrible. Not to mention the place is someone’s junk yard

Let’s cut to the chase. This hotel was recently updated and there are standard USB and house plugs on each side of the bed. That’s a nice feature. TV works, with just one DirectTV remote for a cheaper selection of programming. The room is clean. Water pressure good. And a great ice machine. The bad: the frame of the bed sticks out over the mattress, which is obviously too small. It’s a real shin hazard. Thankfully my experience wasn’t too bad, but it something which just shouldn’t happen. Other than that a clean, safe environment for less than anyone else in town, and much less than anything in Carlsbad.

This place was fantastic. The service was fantastic. The room was clean. Everyone was so nice and helpful.
