Budget Inn Artesia

After driving nearly 12 hours I stopped here after already making a reservation online. The lady at the counter said I had to wait for the boss to get me checked in who never came. Could not cancel or get my money back. Had to sleep in my car.

Booking was fast and beneficial. Lisa at the front desk was very helpful on confirming the reservations.

Artesia NM is convenient to the Carlsbad Caverns National Park and on the mail road that we needed to be on to get to Fort Worth TX when we were ready to continue our trek. The listing in Hotels. com had breakfast for two adults listed and that was the deciding factor between two properties we ere looking at. When we arrived for check in I had to talk to the desk clerk through a tiny window. The lobby was not open to the public. Hospitality apparently os not high on the list of important things to the family that manages this property. When I asked about breakfast I was informed that they no longer serve breakfast, when I explained That my reservation said it included breakfast they said that they could not get the listing modified through Hotels.com. Late night, last minute call to this hotel to reserve a room for the night. We get there after making reservations and checking in. The parking lot is congested with customer and oil-field workers vehicles along with what looks to be remodeling items. The room we got, at first looked ok. The bed linens looked new. The AC unit was not running and that was because it was not plugged in. Plugged the AC unit in and it does try to cool, but on a very low speed. The room looks like it is being remodeled, but there is a lot of dust on everything. The bathroom was grey from the dust. There was a full size refrigerator that was on and there was a microwave. We decided to move on to Carlsbad, NM for the night and I went to the front desk to get our money back. The lady was not friendly at

Let me start by saying we stayed here three weeks ago with no major problems. Came back and booked the room for two weeks but was kicked out after two days. The young girl working the front is super super racist and ungodly rude (long story with unpleasant behavior on her half in front of my children) pThe owner is very very awesome but also out of town at this time. Three weeks ago my emotional support cats for my special needs kids were welcome via their cards of no denial and no fees. This time fined $200 and asked to leave. Last time we had room service for free and cooked in the room with no issues. This time we arrived and the sink was clogged before we arrived. They charged an additional $38 per night for room service and house keeping but our room was not once cleaned. When aske
