LA HACIENDA INN

GROSS! Bedding was not fresh, spilt white substance all over the dresser, stained chair, and questionable stains on the walls. Be ready for the stench to smack you in the face as you open the door!

Extremely satisfied with the room and service. Definitely clean and quiet, room is big. The refrigerator is really BIG.The room doesn’t have soaps but it is fine (remember to take one). A coffeemaker at office but not in room.

We stayed here after visiting the Carlsbad caverns to avoid the prices of motels in Carlsbad city. The inn is in a rough looking area and some crackheads were standing outside smoking something when we arrived. At this points we had second thoughts about staying in Artesia rather than Carlsbad. However, once inside our room, our experience was fine. It was a clean room with very comfortable beds. Noise levels were fine- although the smell was a bit odd and some furniture looked like it was about to fall apart. The staff were particularly friendly. In short, I probably wouldn’t stay again but our experience wasn’t awful.

For the price, it is what it is. The toilet in our room didn't flush at all, the sheets were unclean, the water only came out warm. Otherwise, the room itself was cozy.

Bed towards window leans to inside. Nothing to drink, not even coffee. Full size refrigerator . Beds are on wood frame. Mattress only no box springs. Scorpion on pillar outside office. Lever on toilet installed upside-down, so to flush you must move lever upwards. There is a microwave. Self described manager on duty says no smoking, pets, nor visitors in rooms and no cooking. No breakfast of any kind offered . Rooms have DirectTV. Two pillows on bed. Tub is not assembled completely.
