Marriott Jacksonville Downtown

I recently stayed at this hotel and had the most wonderful experience. First of all, I made a big mistake that could have blown up in my face by booking for the wrong nights. When I showed up, there was a bit of a line because the hotel was rather full for a local event. When I got to the counter, a lovely soul named Sunshine informed me they had been expecting me the night before. I promptly panicked when I saw the hotel was very busy! She was such a friendly and reassuring presence. She said she just wanted to make sure that everything was ok with me and that there had not been an emergency, and told me she would take care of the issue and not to worry. She did just that! I travel 3-4 days a week and stay at hotels all over the US. For some reason I was skeptical to stay here, but WOW was I surprised. The service was excellent from the valet, to the front desk check-in, and the restaurant/bar service was 1st Class! Amy, in the restaurant helped me out with a special meal order, had a great smile and personality, and made sure I was happy with my order. David, the bar tender kept my water full, and was friendly and attentive, even when busy.

Positive: All staff was very nice and extremely helpful. The hotel itself, room and location were great. Negative: Unfortunately, renovations were occurring at the property with construction starting around 9 AM. I was only there for business so I was able to make use of the many different areas within the hotel to do work.

They hotel is great, all you expect from Marriott with a bit of a modern twist but what stuff apart was the staff. Being downtown it’s a valet situation but these guys were incredible. AJ!! Every time he was there so positive and a helped me with bags to the room. Michael was also great and Sunshine at the front desk. Here for a conference and those facilities were nice and catering went well.

I had the best check-in experience! From the guys at valet parking to Sunshine, Isaiah, and Emaleigh at the front desk. They made me feel welcomed and assisted me with all of my questions. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. My room is clean, very spacious and overall comfy. I really feel like I made a good choice for my team. Thank you so much for caring! I will book again.
