MainStay Suites Orlando Altamonte Springs

I do not write reviews lightly, but I feel obligated to share this experience due to significant safety and cleanliness concerns. My fiancé and I stayed here while attending a ceremony honoring my late father for being recognized as an organ donor. We needed a safe and comfortable place during an already emotional weekend. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Check-In & First Impressions The check-in process was unprofessional and uncomfortable. The front desk associate provided no information about the property or how to locate our room. No credit card was requested for incidentals despite the reservation being prepaid through Expedia. When asking about my fiancé staying in the room, he awkwardly requested his full name without explanation, which felt unnecessary and poorly handl

The room size was fine and the staff was nice. However, when we got into the room, the utensils and kitchenware provided were not thoroughly cleaned. Within a day or two, the sink fell and had to be fixed, but it was only glued on. The fitness room didn’t have much in it, it smelt like a prison. I personally wouldn’t stay here as a first choice to go to.

Positive: The staff and the location of the hotel were better Negative: The exterior of the hotel needs to be updated and cleaned. The title floors looked dirty even after the staff cleaned it. The wall near my bed had stains on it and the carpet in the hallway and the stairs need to be cleaned. The stairway smelled moldy

The lady that was at the counter when I checked in was not very friendly or helpful. She had an attitude like she dont want to be here and didn't want to do her job. The room is a good size room. Although there was what looked to be an unwashed blood stain on the sheet so didn't sleep on it. In the morning I requested that I get new bedding fir that reason, waited till 5pm and no one ever came to change the bedding. The night clerk requested i bring down the bedding for him to wash it and return in a few hours to get thw bedding back over going and replacing the bedding. AS A CUSTOMER WHERE IS IT MY JOB TO DO A JOB YOU ARE BEI G PAID FOR. Let me add the 3r floor smells like a dog kennel.

My family and I had the opportunity to stay here while awaiting our new home. Overall, a quiet stay, upgraded rooms, nice location but still centrally located, hospitable and willing to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The staff are friendly including Madison, Jasmine, Frankie and the 2nd shift Manager. The only negatives are that it would have been great if Housekeeping was more frequent and if breakfast was an option.
