Lex View Inn at JFK Airport

Location is alright, kinda sketchy, close to the station but the hotel itseft is NOT. We only stayed for a few hours and left. I should've listened to the previous reviews. It's very loud! from the construction and emergency vehicles because there's a fire station and a hospital nearby. From hallways to the rooms is XXXXX! even the stairwell the stench! the bathroom is filthy and shower curtain stinks so bad. Don't forget to LOOK at the reviews from people who actually stayed there.

Booked this hotel last minute after my flight into JFK got delayed, and I ended up missing my connecting flight. I read the reviews only after booking a room, and to be honest, I was expecting the worst. To my surprise though, the room was actually pretty good. It was comfortable and clean, staff was friendly, and I didn't face any problems. There is some noise at night (the usual traffic and sirens) but you can't really expect silence when staying at a hotel in Queens. There is no free breakfast though (as advertised when booking), so that was a bit of a let down. But overall, a great budget hotel when you need a room for the night on short notice.

The worst experience I had staying at a so called 3 star hotel. First experience before getting into the room was attempting to open the door, and the door lock was not working. It took multiple staff members to get into the room. I got into the room, but the door lock was not fixed at all. Once I finally got into the room, none of the lights would turn on. I wanted to call the hotel service to complain about the lights not working, but when I tried to, the phone wire was cut off from the wall. The bed sheets and pillow covers were also incredibly smelly and not washed, nor were the towels in the bathroom clean. And the worse of it all was seeing roaches in the bathroom and room freely roaming around. There was no hot water in the bathroom as well. I was barely able to sleep, nor did I

I am not sure what you would call this place. But Hotel would be a bit of a stretch. ||On check in the building had a strange odour, like someone was happily smoking weed in one of the rooms. My door key continually resetting each day so you have to return to the foyer for get the key reprogrammed. The tiled floors throughout mean that the cleaning trolley making its way along the hall can be heard continuously and that you can easily see when the floors have not been swept. Which brings me to the point of if there is a cleaning trolley, why is my room never clean. I continue to find long black hair daily, the bed sheets appear to be changed but seem to get dirtier each day. Some sheets have cigarette burn holes through them. Definitely no breakfast. Hotel staff aka the man sitting at the front desk was great. He was super friendly and gave us a great recommendation for a place to eat. The rooms are not super clean especially if you get one with a jacuzzi. You should probably scrub the jacuzzi down before using it. Also the rooms could use more amenties ( towels, soap, etc). However for the overall experience, area and convenience I will say it was good. There is parking in the back, stores nearby open 24/7, and food places everywhere (some also open 24/7). The free breakfast wasn't really a breakfast and if I was staying here id probably tell you to skip it.
