Key West Inn - Newport News

I paid $85 to stay here and had one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. While I was asleep, someone walked into my room without permission — I was completely exposed and felt unsafe. This is a huge violation of privacy and security. When I reported it, the staff did not take the situation seriously or offer proper compensation. Guests should never have to worry about their safety or dignity being compromised like this. I cannot recommend this hotel and strongly advise others to stay elsewhere.

The place sucks! I reserved a king and received a full smoking. The room is a poor excuse even for the lowest of hotels. It looks dirty felt dirty and was not even worth what I did pay. It seems Indian owned and run down. Site boast about a continental breakfast but does not actually serve breakfast at all. I'm not happy whatsoever with this place and don't recommend it.

It’s roaches and spiders in the room, and the owners will tell you it came from outside when there was tiny spiders crawling all over the bed, showed them video proof as well. Very unclean sheets and blankets. The owners are very rude and have poor customer service and unclear communication. They charge 70+ dollars for these dirty, unsanitary rooms. The whole place is dingy. The rooms smell awful, almost like urine. Their business skills and quality of the hotel is absolute trash and disgusting. They don’t care about you or your complaints, they just want your money. The owners also have very harsh and nasty attitudes. Don’t bother to come here folks, please keep your money and find something better!

My toilet didnt work my room had roaches and my floor was super dirty my covers had blood on them it was the absolute worst

I stayed here a few nights, the location right at City Center is a plus. They are in the process of renovation but they still have a ways to go. A bit of a bug problem though. Owner was nice, made sure I had what I needed and even asked if I felt safe(yes) staying there. Good for a short stay. Update:4/21 So I've had a second stay and I must say a big difference! The room I was given had a makeover, new furniture, carpet paint and appliances ( microwave and mini fridge). And no bugs! As always, front desk was helpful and courteous. They are still in renovation mode, so bear with them! Location is great too.
