Island View Lodging- Bayfield, WI

This was my second stay at Island View Lodging. It is simply the perfect spot to call home for a Lake Superior vacation. Only a mile from downtown Bayfield, the location is perfect. The property is beautiful with access to the lake and lovely seating in the yard to watch boats pass or to have a campfire. The room is beautiful and well appointed. It is comfortable from start to finish. The deck is a perfect location for early morning tea or an afternoon cocktail. The view is spectacular. As you can tell, I 10/10 recommend this spot. I will be back next year.

When I arrived at the lodge, I was able to self check in. The owners were nice and provided lots of details about Bayfield. My apartment has a bedroom, bathroom and a kitchenette.|View from the balcony down to the lake is spectacular. Extras are the gardens and the fire pit and beach.|I like fishing so I was very satisfied. With the amount of fishing spots.|A great place to vacation as a single or couple. 10 stars.

The vacation spot was absolutely perfect for our family. The kids ran to the sand beach (private beach) as soon as we arrived. Before we departed, they had to spend their last few minutes again at the beach. It's a beautiful location, fantastic views of Lake Superior (watch the sunrise if you stay there), great sand beach, beautiful lawn leading to the beach (with lovely flower gardens around the property). Just minutes from Bayfield, so it is quiet, very peaceful. The owners are warm and welcoming. Property is well cared for, we were very comfortable. We rented both units since we were a family of 6. We would definitely stay there again!

Perfect location on the shore of Lake Superior! Very comfortable & quiet. This lodging is only 1 mile from Bayfield. The hosts were so friendly & kind & their attention to detail & decor was amazing. I enjoyed the Grand Tour Apostle Island Cruise & the ferry to Madeline Island to explore there. Hiking to several waterfalls near the lodging was fun with the gorgeous Fall colors Oct. 9-16. We are residents in Bayfield who had a spontaneous visit from Illinois friends. We did not have room at our home to accommodate them so made a panicked call to Island View. Thankfully they had room at the Inn. Proprietors Pearl and Jim represent all that is warm, welcoming and kind in our slice of paradise. We knew the setting would offer the most spectacular view of Lake Superior and Madeline Island. We met our friends there upon check in and got to see the interior of the Sevona suite. We were ready to book it for ourselves! The deck, the kitchen, bath, LR and bedroom were spotless and well appointed. A walk about the property showcases the exquisite flower gardens. You can access the waterfront for viewing or water sports. The greatest of the Great Lakes is all yours from this special p
