What started out as a okay experience, turned out to be a disappointment after staying at the oyster point location for almost three weeks. In the beginning the staff started out friendly it appeared to have been, however the problem we had was the uncomfort of the mattress. This was reported a few times to staff and management asking if there was another mattress we could get or either give us another room, but we were told repeatedly there were no rooms available ,and that they will see what could be done about another mattress. Well needless to say management didn't bother to see about it, at all but the maintenance guy did bring us another one, but unfortunately it was no better. However the straw that broke the camels back that influenced our decision to leave was my husb

Me and My husdand decided to stay at the Intown suites for a couple of weeks until we found a place in the area, and this place is very nice. The rooms and hotel in a whole is well maintained. The staff is very helpful and kind. We have had bad experiences with other places and, it is good to know that this Hotel cares about the customers 1st. We have stayed in larger chain hotels and received horrible treatment. This intown suites has great customer care and is well appreciated. The rooms are cleaned thoroughly and the grounds are well kept. 👌 My only problem is the beds are a bit uncomfortable due to my health issues, but for the price I overstand. They should have a area with chairs outside for smokers, my opinion. They should put bunky boards or box springs under the mattress to have m

First, the picture seen on this site is incorrect. So they are false advertising. This location is the Intown at 11715 Jefferson Ave in Newport News. We asked for and paid for a premium, fully renovated room. We were given an older premium room, even though I saw a more recently remodeled premium room. However, the business at Old Oyster Point is relatively clean in the common areas. There is a huge problem with fruit flies in the room itself. The television programming could be better. It's a 30-minute walk from Patrick Henry Mall, lots of restaurants, and about a 15-minute walk to the Tech Center Shopping Center. The guests are mostly quiet. The grounds are kept mostly clean as well. The main thing to be aware of is Sam, the maintenance person. I saw him on three occasions going in

There are both good and bad points to make. The good is that the facility is kept mostly clean. Although, some residents would leave their kitchen trash on the stairwell landing occasionally. The guests are quiet most of the time. The grounds are kept mostly clean as well. There is plenty of storage in the living room area and the bathroom. However, the bad includes the following: the mattresses are extremely hard. There is very little privacy as there always seems to be a reason for someone to knock at the door and most of the time for no good reason. If anyone had a night job and needed to sleep during the day, there were not going to do so at this place. Lastly, be aware of the maintenance person, Sam. I saw him on three occasions doing the following: he entered the room of a gues

Husband & I are pretty new to VA. Since we have been here we’ve had bad luck with extending stay's, except for this one. I’m comfortable/safe here and that’s all that matters to me. Great staff everyone is so nice and loving. Nicole has made this stay as smooth as ever, the communication at this hotel is a 10/10 , housekeeping 10/10, Nicole definitely knows what she’s doing! And does not play!. Very grateful for everything she’s done & what she does to make everyone’s stay Accommodatable 😊.
