Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront

No microwave in room. Microwave on hall did not heat food good and ice maker didn't work until I called about them both. Before I left they were working. Toilets in bathrooms are too low. However, customer service at front desk was wonderful.

The Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront is an excellent hotel. The location is not far from restaurants and bars and is located right on the river so you can have a fantastic view and watch beautiful sunsets from higher up floors. The service was impeccable from Front Desk to the waiters and waitresses at the Shor for breakfast as well as Morton steakhouse. Excellent value per night at the hotel. The only issue I would have with the hotel is that valet is a third-party company and not run by the hotel so it’s not the hotel’s fault that they weren’t friendly and weren’t motivated to help you. Some of the valley attendance were extremely rude. I chose self parking because I didn’t feel welcomed from valet. I would like if the Hyatt ran the valet instead of a third-party company. Otherwise

Very convenient check in and check out. No waiting in long queues. Parking lot is just right in front of the hotel. Amazing views. St John’s river view is visible from all the sides of this hotel as the property is on the river, almost every room does have a partial or a full river view. Hassle free third party booking. 24/7 cafe located in the lobby for a quick bite at any time! You can also book a ferry ride, the St John’s River Taxi and board it on time just a few blocks away. The only challenge is the parking fee which is $35/day and finding street parking may be mission impossible.

Husband and I enjoyed the NYE fireworks from our king river view room. We arrived about 3 pm, ahead of the holiday crowd, and check in was easy. Loved being able to open the sliding doors for the sunshine and fresh air during the day. Appreciated that HVAC was set for sliding door to be open or closed. We were glad to be in the Hyatt on the north side of the river since the Doubletree on the river's south side didn't have the sun shining on it. Reasonable rates, stayed 2 nights. Clean, quiet room and comfortable bed. Great staff, friendly and helpful. We had a terrific time.

The hotel was nice, however the staff was not the best. The whole reason we chose this place was for the pool. The staff at the front desk had no clue that the pool gate was broken and couldn't be used. When we asked for updates on the pool she had no idea if it was fixed or not. They didnt greet people as they enter. Just not very friendly or inviting at all. The cleaning ladies were amazing and very helpful. People in the eating area were very friendly as well.
