The view alone was worth it! Very clean, comfortable and modern hotel with a wonderful staff. Lucked up on an upgraded room with a view of the water and it was perfect. Free delicious breakfast and close to any type of shop you might need. Will definitely stay here again.
The location and pool are both good. However, the room we had on the first floor had a moldy/musty smell, it was the worst in the bathroom, I think there may have been water damage at some point or just poor humidity control. The furniture was outdated and it just felt overall icky. We decided to drive home instead of spend the night so we checked out early. I had mentioned the smell to the girl at the front desk so that they could improve but all she said was “ok”. She obviously didn’t want to be there lol. Anyways, we stop in Jacksonville a lot and will definitely not come back.
Positive: Polite, attentive staff made the biggest impression. Every single employee was smiling, friendly, and ready to assist the patrons. Tha facility was in a good location and was clean and aesthetically pleasing. The breakfast was fresh and hot. Negative: No.
This Hyatt in Jacksonville was a great pitstop for us on our southward journey from Charlotte. The prices were reasonable, the check-in was smooth, parking was free, and the breakfast was okayish. We thought the breakfast could be better, but I guess you get similar quality of breakfast in other similarly priced hotels, so nothing in particular to complain about. The corridor smelled a bit strange but it wasn’t a major hassle for us, since the room itself was pretty great with a good view of the water. Breakfast is served downstairs every morning. Overall, this was a comfortable stay for a night, and I’ll definitely consider this property for my future stays if I’m in the Jacksonville area. I’m glad they’ve a free dedicated parking space just for the hotel guests.
We were in Jacksonville for my ALS Clinic. We chose this hotel because it's only 15 minutes drive to Mayo Clinic. Our room had a very beautiful view of the lake. There was free breakfast which was really helpful because we didn't have to look for a breakfast place to eat before my appointment. We love everything about this place!
