Hyatt Place Jacksonville Airport

My husband and I were very pleased to have chosen the Hyatt to stay.||It surpassed our expectations. The rooms were spotless clean, rooms are big with double beds and sofa with a refrigerator. They seem more on the high end decoration. The service of the personal was extremely friendly and professional. The breakfast buffett had a big variety of delicious choices.||It really met my expectations and more.||The manager approached me and asked if there was anything he could do to make my stay better

No microwave, dirty stained tub, carpet compacted with (what appears to be gum- from months ago), furniture also stained. Bring your own blankets! Breakfast includes toaster oven pancakes and or waffles, which is not the worst I've had. Laundry is available but only 1 set and it's in the top floor. Only 1 chair for the dining table. Wall mounted Heating/AC unit which the bed crowded. Dogs everywhere. Positive points: retail shuttle service, nice size clean pool and television, four working elevators, full staff all day. Hot breakfast choices. Very soft water.

Positive: The staff was very friendly and always greeted us in common areas. The room was spacious and had good AC Negative: The room was rather dirty, noticeable mildew/mold in the shower that made me nervous, lots of dust on the ceiling above the bed, and the sheets were on backwards as if the bed hadn’t been changed.

Me and my husband stayed 1 night, the room needed updating. The bathroom lighting was dark there was stains on the sofa and pillow. When we awoke the next morning we found blood on the sheets. We believe it either came from bed bugs or either the sheets weren't clean from the previous guest. I advised the front desk of our concern, they were polite and indicated that they would refer my compliant. I was contacted by the operations manager, who also appeared to be understanding. However, I told her that I wanted a refund but we were offered point toward a visit. I explained that isn't acceptable. She indicated that she would speak with upper management and get back to me. We had a great stay here before our cruise. Room was clean and large! The beds were comfortable EXCEPT the pillows were awful. The bathroom shower area was very dark. I would definitely stay here again! The free shuttle to local restaurants is a real plus!
