Howzit Hostels Hawaii

Howzit is the cleanest hostel I have stayed at. Good employee training. James was a great tour guide. Friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. Arantza and Cristina make perfect pancakes. Julia is a natural photographer. Vixen was a friendly late night staff. Eric showed us some turtle watching tips. Gustavo always has a great energy! Ava shared great travel tips and cool stories with me. Imani has a great playlist for the lounge. Nathan helped me check in. Jaclyn has a great smile.

Hands down the best hostel experience I’ve had so far. From the free pancakes in the mornings to the welcoming atmosphere and spotless common spaces, everything was top-notch. The tours were a highlight, I joined two with Sarah and she was phenomenal, sharing so much insight and making the experience unforgettable. The entire team was wonderful, especially Colette, Bailey, and many others who were always kind and eager to help. Rooms and the common area were extremely clean and well maintained. I truly had an amazing stay at the Hilo location and can’t recommend it enough

Easily a top-3 best hostel I've stayed at as a solo traveller! The place is super clean, shared dorm beds have a privacy screen, big storage lockers under the beds, and they offer free coffee and pancakes in the morning. Location is conveniently downtown Hilo, and they do run tours and trips many days of the week. Very social atmosphere and the staff are very friendly! Shoutout Nina, Bailey, and Daisie! 10/10 would reccomend Howzit Hostel Hilo, and I plan to be back!

Damn, talk about an awesome experience! I loved this place. It was welcoming, clean, fun, quiet (during quiet hours), and reasonably priced. I got a private room for one night and was very pleased. I walked into my room (room #6) and was like, "damn this is NICE,"but I also had the pleasure of meeting people from other places in the common rooms (like a woman from Italy), even though I did not stay in a shared room. Emmari (I hope I am not butchering the spelling of her name) checked me in an was so cool. I felt welcomed and well taken care of by her. I will definitely go there again! Thanks for a great time y'all 🤙
