Hilo Beach House Inn

We had a marvelous stay at the Hilo Beach House Inn. The rooms were just beautiful and tastefully designed. All of the doors are hand carved, and the room had a lot of lovely flourishes. The grounds around the inn have the feel of a tropical botanical garden. And the "backyard" of the inn is the Onekahakaha beach park. One tip - if you get a delivery or taxi- give your address as the beach park , basically one door past the inn. The inn is somewhat tucked away - the last house on the lane - and giving the beach park was easier for the driver.

Great place enjoyed our stay in one of the best accommodations we've had in Hawaii. The craftmanship is first class. Thoroughly enjoyed the place, snorkel gear provided. Got immediate response from owners with great recommendations for adventure and dinning. But the stairs are not convenient for lots of luggage so plan your wardrobe accordingly.

Highly recommend! Great spot on the Big Island. This is a small Hotel that's just right for someone looking for a quiet escape. The quality of materials was excellent- none of the cheep "builder" grade you get at other locations. There are double walls between rooms providing excellent sound proofing. There balconies are fantastic! The design is such that yours always feels private even when other guests are out on theirs, they can't see you and you can't see them. They also have thoughtfully screened in the balconies so you don't have to worry about bugs but can leave your doors open with an excellent breeze coming off the ocean. Bed was super comfortable and we loved the shower stone and tile work!

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Hilo Beach House Inn on Oct. 18 and 19. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience there and would gladly go back. The owner, Chris, met us upon arrival. He was very personable and friendly. The next day he met us again to say that he would be away for the evening in case we needed anything while he was out. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It's tiled throughout. From your balcony you get a view of a public beach and sea wall. The lanai doors have shutters to block the view when you need privacy. The bathroom is modern with a vessel sink and a large walk-in shower. "The pond" as Chris called it is a sand-bottomed swimming area at the aforementioned public beach that's good for wading in or doing a little swimming. Local children seemed

A friend recommended the Hilo Beach House and we were not disappointed. Chris, our host, could not have been more helpful and full of good cheer and information. Great location. Waterfalls, the Tropical Botanical Garden and Volcano National Park all easily accessible. Sandy bottom beach right out back and great snorkeling nearby. The local restaurants were all wonderful.
