Overall great 2 night stay with the family. Easy check in with mobile but still went to front desk for physical keys. Brooke was very pleasant and helpful, all her recommendations for food, coffee, site seeing were the best. Shes got the dopest nails in Hilo, thank you! Complimentary warm cookies and drink vouchers and few other things. Room was nice and clean, 24/7 gym was great. And close to everything you need

Positive: Restaurant by the pool had excellent food. Free drink each day was nice. The staff were very friendly as well. Negative: The room smelled awful, spent as little time possible in the room. I frequently stay in ocean front rooms and never experienced the smell of mold/musk like this property. Room 836 sliding doors, sink, sink faucet all need serious repair.

Well after years of me giving 5 star reviews here, recent management and structural changes here have soured the experience, and we likely wont be returning. #1 change is the forced $30/day Valet only parking. Up until recently they allowed self parking across the street in another lot. Sorry, $30/day plus tax plus multiple tips/day and the loss of valuable vacation time standing in line waiting for valets to get the car is a non-starter. They have PLENTY of available parking space here, this is just a money grab. They also changed up the breakfast offering. Hilton offers an $18/day/guest benefit to purchase food, instead of setting up a continental breakfast. This used to work well when they setup in the lounge area with grab and go offerings reasonably priced, like spam musubi, pastries,

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is probably the best hotel south of Kona airport. This 1970’s era hotel has been renovated at $$$. There is complimentary drink for each guest on daily basis. We had the ocean view room and it is spacious with fridge and microwave and clean. The main restaurant is a bit pricey and selection is limited. So, we walked over next door to Hilo Hawaiian for dinners. That said, their breakfasts are quite good serving up dishes like braised beef rib loco moco at reasonable price. There also is a guest lounge with free coffee and fruit punch. NB: The coffee is the same as the main dining room at $6 USD. Nightly live music. Parking is valet and pricey at $39 per day. Cabanas by the pool are free. Overall, quite a decen

We had a great stay here. The location was convenient, and the property was beautiful, with several nice outdoor areas to relax. We especially enjoyed the short walkway outside, which was a great way to unwind. The bar next to the front desk was a nice touch, and the restaurant downstairs served delicious food. The room was clean and comfortable, and facing the ocean was a huge plus. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Kai for checking us in and making us feel right at home — she was excellent. Valet parking was also super convenient and easy to use. The location was also very convenient for visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, which made exploring the Big Island easy and stress-free. Overall, it was a solid experience, and we would definitely stay here again.
