Hotel Pentagon

We visited from abroad six years ago and the hotel was OK then. This year was a totally different story. The staff at the front desk isn't unfriendly, but doesn't seem to care a whole lot either. The first steps into the room took my breath away as you instantly smell the mildew. Everything is musty. The floors seem dirty and stained, the rooms are dark and outdated. The coffee maker wasn't clean, the fridge barely seems to work. The walls are paper thin so you hear people talking and showering. The toilet continued flushing every twenty minutes or so, so I was up all night. The faucet is so short it's impossible to wash your hands properly. The towels are extremely small, they couldn't even wrap around my tiny seven year old. The breakfast was borderline nasty. You get your coffee from on

I stayed here for 4 nights and my stay was flawless. The room was serviced everyday and there was a simple breakfast(toast,eggs, coffee) every morning. It is an old property so if you have issues with bugs or something not working, then do let the front desk know and they will provide a different room. The location is amazing. You will be in DC in 10mins. I will always book here every time I’m in DC.

This hotel’s photos are fake. The whole room was is disrepair: exposed capped- off electrical wires on the base board, water damaged drywall, disgusting shower grout, an ill fitted toilet seat. A rodent got into our trash during the night. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. This hotel should be condemned.

I am a Bonvoy and Honors member among others. With high rankings in both programs My work results in stays at hotels more than my own house. That being said this is a nice hotel. The Location is good. The rooms are big. They are clean and the decore is nice. I like the old Dc feel that this hotel offers . Its unique. The beds and pillows are comfortable. Ive slept very good here. Water pressure in the ahower is good. Hot water comes fast. Nice pedestal sink in the bathroom big mirror Bigger than average fridges in the room. A table and 2 chairs . This stay has been a memorable experience for me. Ive had the feeling that Im out on more of pleasureable trip and not so much of the work grind here. I hope that you find pleasure and adventure in your experience as well.

We reserved a room here for a quick getaway for me and my husband. First of all "Hotel" is a lie! It is a MOTEL, like a renovated Motel 6. The person behind the counter sat there, arguing with me about the completely false advertising. It says they have room service, nope. The lobby was small and dank. The desk clerk rudely told us "You don't have to stay here!" And we DIDN'T! Plus they wanted a $200 deposit on top of the ridiculous $179 they were charging for a room on a Thursday night. It sounds like we dodged a bullet from some of the other reviews! This is not even a 2 star motel! Stay somewhere else! Don't waste your money.
