Hotel Auburn Hills

The pool was crowded with a bunch of kids. The whirlpool max capacity was six. All of the kids were not actively being watched by adults. They were sitting outside of the pool area. It was complete chaos. One of the people in the whirlpool was 80 years old and she had to leave because there was nowhere for her to put her stuff and everybody who was crowding the hot tub. The parents of the kids were very rude. The hotel staff did not seem to care at all. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. Also when you make reservations, they do not mention that there is $150 deposit. Also, my daughter found a baggie in one of the dresser drawers in our room, it obviously was left by someone else: obvious misconduct that noone found somehow cleaning up... Ok before anyone flames me read the full review I'm not affiliated with the hotel. My wife and I travel almost every week on business together. So here is my review. This is an overall Great hotel, friendly staff great breakfast and restaurant, bar was a nice touch. Huge pool, hot tube and modern fitness center. They have accommodations for people staying 1 night or for a couple of years. I say this because I met an elderly lady who was there for over 5 years and a couple who were still there after 2 years. 2 glass elevators that give a nice view. All rooms open to the hallway, some rooms are along the walkway that overlooks the main dining area and social areas. Positive: My family definitely enjoyed the breakfast! Some hotels offer similar options, but this one definitely beats any other we’ve been too & were frequent travelers! The pool was enjoyable, we also enjoyed the peaceful setting, quiet and relaxing weekend! Negative: Everything was great!

Not like the pictures. For the price I paid on Expedia it was okay, the carpets were nasty so was the couch. Our TV in our room didn’t work at first, front desk attendants were nice and accommodating, they moved us to a different room. Heating was set at 75 but it felt like 60. Just be aware the pictures are from when it was embassy suites and it is no longer owned by embassy.

Hotel is a little older but still in excellent shape. The bar & grill has good food and the hot breakfast is good as well. I only have a 3 minute drive to work and back and the price is excellent. I find it to be a 5 star rating because it covers all the basics of my needs as a place to stay while I'm working out of town.
