Host Inn

At first it was nice in here. But over the time I stayed here there was an undeniable stench in the air. It got so bad that my cat was crying and my cat is the queen so I left and my cat told me that she didn’t like the place and to leave a bad review. Here is proof that she was crying.

After arriving to Hampton VA at 2am and searching for a hotel for over an hour, my husband and I finally found the Host Inn. We were quite skeptical based on outward appearance but we had driven all night to get there and went on in. After getting in the room we were pleasantly surprised. It wasn't top-notch or overly nice, however, it was clean. All we really needed was a bed and a shower and it definitely served its purpose. I was so happy when we got in and it wasn't gross and was actually very clean! It was fairly cheap and we would definitely stay here again.

Room was basic but adequate for the price. It was quiet in the area. There was mold on the bottom of some of the furniture we wiped off. Could be because they dont seem to run heat or air when room is vacant. White LED lights in room were a bit harsh. Front desk was nice and helpful.

Stay anywhere else , you’ll be better off sleeeping outside or in your car. The owners are rude , scammers, hustlers who claim to speak little English but are scamming . First of all , I stayed here after a long drive from another state and work , checked in at night ready for a shower and rest after driving 5 hrs , I disregarded the folks loitering in the parking lot and the kids running around and heard people all night on the stairs and parking lot partying and talking , red flag but I was exhausted . Entered my room, dropped my stuff off went to a nearby store grabbed a bite to eat came back ; the tv was broken upon arrival and I have pics , peeled back that dirty top blanket and found 2 bed bugs tried to go back down to the front desk and there was no help . Okay what can one expect

I normally wouldn't have even attempted to stay here, but I was in a pinch late at night when I decided to stay an extra day in Virginia Beach. There was a giant dead roach in my room upon arrival. To be honest, I have no other impression of what the room was like because once I saw it (and it only took me one second to see it from across the room because it was SO BIG), I decided I wouldn't be staying there. When I showed the desk clerk a photo and politely asked for my money back, I was told it was a water beetle because it's been so humid out... she repeated that to me 3x, to which I said "...I know what a water bettle looks like, and this is definitely a huge cockroach." She said she could give me a different room, insinuating at first that I wouldn't be getting a refund. When I final
