Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark-Wilmington South Area

So I have stayed at plenty of homewood suites but none this outdated, it being outdated isn’t even the serious part. It’s simply the cleaning. Some people may think this is clean but it just is not at all. Upon entering our room smelled like a nursing home or a skilled nursing facility. We are in a two bedroom suite for the week and there’s gum on the carpets, walls and doors stained, stains all over the floors. I haven’t seen a roach but it looks like they would love it here. So much dust build up that all around the corners and along the carpets and walls is ashy with the build up. Holes in the walls, toilet clogged on the first flush. Told front desk this morning and so far no one has come. Just not what I expected at all. Super disappointing. We have to stay for the remainder of the we

Stayed here overnight as a pit stop on a long drive. Very clean and quiet. The room was spacious and well-laid out; the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well-appointed; full-size fridge, coffee maker, and anything else you might need to whip up a quick meal. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, with a good selection and fresh offerings. Would definitely stay there again.

What a wonderful addition to the Hilton brand of hotels. I absolutely loved this place. During my 24 hr stay - I enjoyed a lavish cocktail hour, cooked my side dishes for the next day's Thanksgiving feast, swam a few laps in the pool, worked out in the gym, did laundry in the laundry room, took 2 steaming hot baths, and indulged in a delicious complimentary breakfast. Homewood Suites is awesome. I would stay here again and again‼️✌🏾😘

Every staff person I’ve met has been friendly and service minded. Asking for more hot water for tea at night done with pleasure by Dawn. Maintenance man was extremely nice and helpful and friendly. If my son attends University of Delaware this will the hotel we stay. Breakfast crew also friendly and helpful. I’m blown away at the level of service and how all employees appear to like their jobs and customers. What a refreshing 2 night stay! You all deserve a round of applause.

Positive: Spacious and clean room. The breakfast is sumptuous and exceeded our expectation. Negative: The pool could have been heated.
