Homewood Suites by Hilton Jackson-Ridgeland

All of the employees we encountered were very nice, and even when we had a minor issue with our a/c in the room, they were trying to be very accommodating and offered to move us into a new room. It is an older hotel and can use some major upgrades and remodeling. The rooms were dated with very poor lighting. I had a one bedroom suite and the only door in the entire suite was leading to the bathroom. So even though it was a two double bed suite that sleeps six, there is no privacy at all. We also had to deal with asian beatles through the entire state.I'm not sure if that's a seasonal thing for the area. The location is wonderful as it has plenty of dining an activities and right off of the highway.

This was one of the best hotel breakfast offerings but the rest of the hotel was so dirty I was afraid to eat in it. I had a one night stay for one person. The room came with on towel no washcloth and no hand soap. The amenities were like staying in a hostel. The bath tub was rusted, paint spray was on the floor and the closet door was off the track.

We’ve been Hilton Gold Members for years, and this stay unfortunately missed the mark—especially for a $250+/night rate. As someone who works in hospitality & guest experiences, appearance and functionality matter, and this property struggled in both areas. The good: Check-in was quick, the receptionist was polite, the furniture was newer, the bedrooms had ceiling fans (living room did not), and the room was quiet. The bad: – We were first given an occupied room, so our entire group (4 adults, toddler, infant) had to return to the desk and relocate with all luggage. – We didn’t receive our water bottles and were only given two for all six of us when we requested them. - We made several attempts to call the front desk and didn't get an answer from the room phone. – The entryway was so tig

Room were decent but we stayed here one year ago, and in the past year the hotel has definitely not been well maintained. Great area, and you have lots of other options. Staff were very nice and friendly. The marajuana smell was extremely strong and toxic. Is that where we are now as a society? It reeks in parking lots, on the clothes of so many people, and now in hotels? We arrived too late last night to do anything about it, but it's unfortunate.
