Home2 Suites by Hilton Miami Doral West Airport

I normally stay 10-20 nights a year in Home2 Suites. Love the set up of the room and general vibe. The hotel itself in Doral is nice, good location with many restaurants within walking difference. My low rating is for how they handled the airport shuttle. We waited close to two hours for a shuttle, that never arrived. I called 3 times and each time they stated he is on the way, 30 minutes. I can wait 30 minutes, no problem. But when you stack three of those together that is a different story. We had already waited 30 minutes before my first call. I would rather them say, yeah sorry it’s hit or miss. Total disregard for my valuable time. Finally took a Lyft over. No sincere apologies, it felt fake and pushed off like I was being a diva. I stay here for work once a month for 4 to 5 days at a time. The rooms are always clean and welcoming and have exactly what I need. They are also very spacious. I appreciate the two computers available in the lobby for us to use as well. What really sets this hotel apart is the breakfasts in the morning. Every day they offer a new breakfast sandwich suggestion based on what they are offering. Orlando, the gentleman who runs the breakfast buffet, is extremely polite and accommodating. I look forward to chatting with him every time I visit and even if I am in a grumpy mood after traveling all night, he puts a smile on my face. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to my monthly stays.

Don't book here! My family stayed at this Home2Suites for a few days after Christmas and our experience at this hotel was terrible. Our room was not properly cleaned between guests and several items from the previous guest were left in the room. The kitchenette area had dirty floors. We found a cheese cracker and french fry from a previous guest on the floor and it was never picked up by housekeeping during our entire stay. Our room even had daily service and not not once did housekeeping thoroughly clean our room. In addition, the breakfast buffet was a disaster. No real organization and the buffet layout is very chaotic because no one stays in a line and rude people just cut in front of you. The hotel does not take into consideration the need for extra staff when booked at full capacity.

Almost Happy.... I stayed here for business. It was a holiday weekend so the place was full. The front desk staff were fun & friendly. The room was clean but there was a wierd odor in the kitchen area. Free breakfast but limited options, pay to park ? Generally safe area... I had two issues, one the guests were loud. This was NOT the fault of the hotel just rude people. The Second was a delay in getting someone to my room for housekeeping. We needed a quick response but they took hours and eventually I just took care of the problem myself. Hence the two star service rating. I would stay here again to give them a chance at redemption.

Positive: The room is spacious & the shower is great. Negative: The 1 star is solely for the breakfast staffs. The lady & man who work in the breakfast area are both HORRIBLE! They stare at every single guest as if we are all criminals. They give bad looks & mean faces to everyone! Make everyone super uncomfortable!
