Holiday Inn & Suites Charleston West by IHG

We liked it. Wonderful staff who were friendly and helpful. Very comfy beds and pillows. Big TV in room. Did not eat or drink here so I can't review. Pool was open and clean. Hot tub was big and hot. Only down side was the decor seemed a bit dated, but not a big deal at all. We felt taken care of while we were here. I'd stay again.

We had a wonderful overnight stay! Family of 4 with two large dogs…Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was friendly, kind, and welcoming. The courtyard was well maintained, secure, and easily accessible for pets including trash and doggie bags for easy clean up! The pool area was busy but beautiful. Restaurant on site but we order Papa John’s, also great and the hotel gave us a 25% off coupon to use! Parking was easy and plentiful! We had a great experience! Highly recommend!

This hotel is a lovely oasis. Clean, spacious rooms with an excellent on site restaurant. Staff is friendly, efficient and very pleasant. Our room had all the amenities and a nice size fridge. We had a peaceful night's sleep. I will say parking was limited.

Accidentally booked this hotel as we were trying to book a hotel in Charlestown, WV. Booking.com was wonderful and diligent with trying to help secure a refund; however, the manager on site did not follow through with contacting booking.com to help us receive our refund even after several communication attempts including one where she said she would reach out to them. Don’t put yourself in a situation like I did, and please choose another hotel that will be more cooperative with your needs.

I was expecting a little more from a 3 star hotel. The rooms were your standard hotel room, ours hadn’t been updated in a while and had a little bit of a weird smell upon entering. The elevators had a lot of dirt/hair in them. There were guests yelling in the hall late at night and also after midnight a car parked in the parking lot next to our room playing very loud music and the driver had a lot of people visit him in a short amount of time. It didn’t inspire confidence in the area. The pool/hot tub area was nice, but did not make up for the other factors. Breakfast is a separate charge, although they did have complimentary coffee.
