Embassy Suites by Hilton Charleston

The room was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was great, with a lot of choices, especially omelets cooked with your choice of filling (cheese, onion, bacon, mushrooms...). Valet parking is not very expensive.||However we were disappointed by a few things...||- The hotel is quite old and I think the rooms are in need of renovation. Many things were damaged (cupboard hinges, bathtub sealant, loose faucets... etc...)||- There is no self-parking available on site, only valet parking. Self-parking is only available across the street from the hotel (see picture attached). This could at least be specified on the hotel's website.||- The hotel is very noisy : all the rooms overlook the inner courtyard/patio, where the entrance hall, reception, elevators, lounge, and break

Hilton member passing through with my family for one night. Friendly welcoming staff. Elevators were fast. Pool looked clean and inviting. Room was comfortable and spacious. Hot water with good pressure. Dog friendly. Very walkable area. Huge free breakfast with lots of options. Contrary to other reviews, we appreciated that there was a parking garage and gladly paid the $12 so we didn't have to find parking in an unfamiliar city. Made a last minute reservation and made a mistake on it. The front desk chat on my app was responsive and revised my reservation. Would stay here again!

Positive: Location Negative: Charge for parking with valet was $28.Fire alarm at 2:30am and stairs we first went to were pointing to a room and the two doors were labeled staff only. We walked to another further corner we saw others using. On the 8th floor in a big fire bad news

I try to avoid staying in Charleston WV at all costs, but sometimes it's unavoidable. This time, we stayed at the Embassy Suites and I will never avoid Charleston again as long as there's an available room at this hotel! Though somewhat older, the rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and inviting. The beds could use a pillow-top pad, but overall were mostly comfy. The hotel staff and valets were genuinely welcoming and kind. The breakfast with made to order eggs was great. Dinner options were fine for a casual meal at the end of a long day. We'll be back!

Nice hotel with rooms that open from the interior which enables them to have long rooms with a living room, hallway, bathroom and then a bedroom with a closing door. This matters because it kept the noise out from the lobby and it was incredibly dark in our room so we slept solid. The breakfast was vast - typical quality of hotel food and the bar serves food late including healthy options like chicken salad. Lots of families and group functions here. My gripe comes with parking - there is none on site so you have to either park across the street in the mall parking ($12) or use valet ($21 before tip). Valet is several young adults with not the best etiquette. Pool is a bit slimy (maybe saltwater) and the beds are a bit hard. Other than those things everything else was great. 4/5 stars ⭐️!
