Holiday Inn Express Washington DC SW - Springfield by IHG

Stayed here with my wife and daughter while visiting DC and it worked out great. Being right outside the city in Springfield made it easy to get in and out without dealing with all the DC chaos. Staff was professional and welcoming. Arzaan checked us in and made sure to cover all the bases with us. Rooms were super clean and comfortable. Solid spot for a family trip would definitely stay again.

I have always had good experiences with Holiday Inn Express & this one proved to be the best of all. The staff is remarkable! This was an 8 day stay with even the most minor of concerns addressed promptly. The room was clean and every member of this staff was at the top of their game. For a sight-seeing vacation in the D.C. area, the location is perfect: far enough out to mitigate traffic issues for points of interest beyond the Belt Way with the hotel offering a free shuttle to the nearby Metro Station to get into The District. Free parking is a Godsend and unusual for the area as well. Breakfast is far better than expected and consistent with quality. We did a one night stay with the getaway package for pets. The hosts greeted us and made us feel welcomed to stay here. Checking was very easy. The room was clean and plenty of hot water. Our 2 large huskies greeted the front of desk crew every time we walked by and they ended up saying hello to them everytime. Breakfast was plentiful with a full array of food and coffee. It is located right off the highway and there are plenty of restaurants to enjoy a walk to. This hotel is def large dog friendly and we appreciate that and would stay again without hesitation. Positive: Good location except too far to walk for the metro. I think the hotel would shuttle bus you. Negative: TV would constantly cut out for a second or two (steaming?)

Disappointing stay – not worth the price Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was very disappointing and did not meet the expected standard for the price (around $220 per night). Noisy room despite request for quiet: At check-in, we requested a quiet room and were assured that we would receive one. However, the room was extremely noisy — we could hear the elevator all night as well as traffic from the nearby highway. The windows appeared to have only single glazing, which made it worse. Poor breakfast quality: The breakfast was below average. The sausages were hard and dry, the boiled eggs were stored cold in the fridge, and the overall selection was very limited.
