The Pros of this hotel are the super helpful and friendly staff, the 24-hour fresh bean-grinding coffee machines, the sheets, pillows, mattresses are outstanding, and the location is excellent where there are plenty of stores and restaurants to choose from. For these reasons I would recommend staying here but before unpacking check your room first. The hotel is an older building and it does need some maintenance. I thought the décor was good so no complaints there. ||The 2-star rating is about the actual room I stayed in. I already unpacked all my stuff and didn’t feel like repacking and moving to another room, plus I think they had a full house that evening so I didn’t bother asking.||Bathroom:|--No drain cover in the sink and it was creepy. Positive: Staff is amazing! Hard working, warm, friendly, helpful, and professional. Breakfast and treats were yummy and always a plus. Great hotel. Loved the festive lobby decorations. Made it feel like a home away from home. Negative: My room was very clean but smelled like dog. Very strong dog odor. Maybe have a few rooms that are pet free or stronger odor reducer because for non pet owners it can be off putting.

They’re in the middle of renovations, So I can’t fault them too much for how the rooms look. As far as the area goes, there’s a local group that sits in the parking lot next to the hotel every night at varying times and revs their engines up obnoxiously which can make it hard to sleep. Also, on the last day here, it’s their “policy“ to shove the room invoice under your door at 3 AM. If you’re a light sleeper like me, that’ll wake you up immediately. I went downstairs to ask about it and was told “we’ll send you some points” checkout time isn’t until 11 AM, Nobody on earth needs this invoice at 3 in the morning. If you’re printing them off anyway, just print them off whenever checkout happens. Or, here’s a crazy thought, send the invoice via email like you normally do.

This place is awesome!!! The people are so very friendly in this town... Snacks! The snacks were so great. They had hotdogs and popcorn, coffee and lemonade and HOT COOKIES. It's SO CLEAN... The breakfast was delicious! They have all the regular continental items, PLUS eggwhite omelettes with peppers and onions, cheese omelettes and pancakes. The beds ... Oh the wonderful clean rooms and comfortable beds with the best pillows...The staff we encountered are so very very polite and friendly. We came for the Young Gravy Concert and a Nascar Tech Graduation, so we were excited and tired. We live in Asheville, so we are used to the unkind. Thank you for the great experience. I'm coming back, just to stay here😀

Now under renovation, so expect some noise if you go anytime soon. Otherwise, great hotel. Perfect location right off the interstate & near local restaurants. Clean rooms, friendly staff, they always offer extras like popcorn & hot dogs in the afternoons, a fruit bowl with bananas, oranges, & apples in the lobby, & water infused with lemon by the front door.
