Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville South - I-295 by IHG

I stayed at this hotel multiple nights. I was sitting in my vehicle talking on the phone with a friend. Some guy looking homeless stopped in front of my vehicle and acted to reach into his pocket to pull out a gun and shoot at me. Mind you I’m in front of this hotel. I was telling my friend what was going on and about five minutes later a female can running up to my truck and told me she was assaulted by a guy. I asked her what he looked like and gave me an exact profile of the guy. She asked me to walk around back so she could get her car. My instinct was to watch out things didn’t seem right. I proceeded to walk her back to her car. As she was explaining what happened as we got to her car, i told her she needed to call the police. I walked back around to my truck, called my friend

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel smelled musty. The hotel was clean. The traffic noise from I-295 is loud. My room was clean and comfortable. The tub drain was clogged. Breakfast was OK. The hotel is a little difficult to get to.

Positive: Hotel was very clean, staff friendly, and lots of breakfast options. Negative: The noise level of the hotel once inside my room. The walls seemed paper thin. I could hear my neighbors TV and conversations next door. Showers turning on and off, toilets flushing. Even outside in the hall down the length of it could hear everything.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel had a musty smell. Everything looked clean. The room was comfortable. The car noise from I-295 is loud. The tub drain in room 318 was clogged and drained slowly. Breakfast was fine. The hotel is more difficult to get to than others I have stayed at.

Only stayed one night. Check in went smoothly, even though we checked in early. The bar soaps and shampoo bottles have been replaced with dispensers. But the Dove soaps were a nice upgrade!
