Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville - Blount Island by IHG

We used points for our stay and were pleasantly surprised our room was a suite. However, the layout could have been better. It was difficult to see the TV while sitting on the far end of couch because the free standing wardrobe was in the way. It should have been located at the entry to the room. Also, the desk lamp didn't work and the other lighting was very bright, especially next to the beds. The pool area was closed because of a small area of damage to the filled in sauna so weren't able to enjoy the outdoor area. No mention of this when checked in but they did have a sign the next morning. I guess we weren't the only ones disappointed! Breakfast staff was very friendly. Great Stay Before Our Cruise! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ I had a pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn. The service was good, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. The rooms were nice, clean, and felt like they had been recently remodeled, which made for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was decent, though the waffle station wasn’t working during my visit, which was a little disappointing. Also, there was no welcome package provided as mentioned, but overall the experience was positive and the hotel was well maintained. If you’re cruising, it’s also a great choice — less than 10 minutes from the port, which made getting to the ship super convenient.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the airport with a convenient shuttle service as well. The rooms are spacious, clean, fresh, and very up to date. I loved the beautiful waterfalls in the center of the hotel and the gorgeous grounds surrounding the property. The lobby seating is comfortable and feels surprisingly private and quiet despite being in the middle of the airport area. The staff was extremely friendly and always willing to help however they could. A fun touch is the warm cookie you receive upon arrival—it's not kosher, but it looks delicious and smells amazing. There’s also a well-stocked pantry with snacks, drinks, beer, alcohol, and light food options. The shower could be a little stronger, but it was still perfectly fine.

My original review was 5 stars. I ordered a room for 2 nights through booking.com back in September before my cruise. Everything there went great, staff was super helpful. After getting off the boat I discovered that I had 2 charges for the same amount except one was through booking.com and the other was through the actual hotel. I have called MULTIPLE times to only be hung up on numerous times and then when I finally got someone who listened to my issues- they put in a ticket and I never heard from them again. I've disputed these charges with my credit card company only to be told that the hotel said these were valid charges. Ive contacted booking.com only for them to tell me it is a hotel issue bc their payment went through. Ive sent email after email to your customer support team- only
