Holiday Inn Express & Suites Jacksonville Airport by IHG

We stopped on on our way to South Florida. It was midnight. They had a room available and the price was great. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and pleasant! The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable. I passed out immediately after getting in bed. We had the breakfast the next morning. It was just ok. The variety of food options was descent. I would stay again, if coming through Jax in the future. All in all, a good stay.

I absolutely would stay again, just based on our beds. Clean & Comfy. Bathroom & room was clean, lobby looked clean as well. Pool area was not clean enough for me to feel confident the pool itself was clean, so we didn't use the pool or hot tub. Breakfast was good, but they had it nearly shut down and hour early, very limited choices, like 1 milk in fridge, 1 type of breakfast pastry, pancake mix was out, the eggs were full but the meat options were empty or had 1 piece in them.

First room I was given smelled like cigarette smoke, so had to ask for a new room. Second room was fine. I was there for a two night stay and in town for a funeral. The next day I went to the funeral and while I was gone, the hotel removed all of my belongings from my room and then checked someone else into the room. I came back to the hotel that night and entered my room to find everything missing, and found out that when I entered that room someone else had been checked into it. The hotel said they made a mistake, had my belongings at the front desk, and gave me a third room. They didn't really compensate me for the trouble, they just gave me a small amount of IHG points. Breakfast was fine.

Positive: Location Negative: The night Clerk (male) and I were not on the same page. They stuck me in a handicap room. I asked if they weren't sold out , could they change my room. He said he couldn't do that. Not at all in a businesslike manner.

Julie Carroll at the front desk was an absolute rockstar! We experienced some flight delays, and Julie was so accommodating from beginning to end, ensuring we were comfortable throughout our entire stay, and went great lengths to assist us. Thank you Julie! We definitely will be back upon our next vacation!
