Holiday Inn Express Rocky Mount – Sports Center by IHG

I had a great experience at this hotel! Even though I didn’t have the deposit at the time, the general manager (Mrs.T) went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and got a room. The staff was kind, understanding, and professional — truly made me feel valued as a guest. Clean room, comfortable stay, and excellent service. I really appreciate their hospitality and flexibility. Highly recommend!

This review is done with a mix of opinions. Per my reservation, I was to notify the hotel if arriving after 9pm. I realized I would not arrive until 10:30 and called the number on the confirmation. This was not a working number. It took 3 phone calls and a run around to actually get a correct phone number for this hotel. This was inconvenient and stressful because one of the calls said they didn't even have a reservation confirmation for me. The hotel room was clean but only one of the two beds was comfortable. One of the reasons this hotel was selected was for the hot breakfast advertised. The food did not all meet good quality standards. The bacon was greasy and not crisp. Holiday Inn Review – Rocky Mount & Jacksonville I stayed at two Holiday Inn properties recently—one in Rocky Mount and one in Jacksonville—and the experiences were completely different. The Holiday Inn in Jacksonville is not very fancy in terms of appearance, but the customer service was outstanding. The front desk staff went above and beyond to help me resolve a genuine mistake. Their attitude, patience, and willingness to help made a lasting impression. This is the kind of service that truly represents the Holiday Inn and IHG brand. On the other hand, the Holiday Inn in Rocky Mount is an excellent hotel in terms of facilities and overall condition, but unfortunately the front office customer service was very disappointing. We stay at the Holiday Inn Express hotels when on road trips to Florida and back. The girl who checked us into this hotel was not very friendly. No smile like we were disrupting her day. We asked about local places to eat and she was sort of rude with answering us. We used the internet and found a great place down the street The Westridge Grill that had the best burgers and everyone was so nice. I would stay here again because its a great location and the other people that worked there were friendly.
