Holiday Inn Express Jamaica - Jfk Airtrain - Nyc by IHG

I checked into the hotel the night of March 22nd to rest after a long day of traveling. I have trusted IHG hotels before, and the hotel was a convenient distance to the airport for our flight the next morning. Upon check in, my fiancé and I discovered a yellow stain in the middle of the bed. We were not comfortable sleeping on soiled sheets and asked the front desk attendant to have our sheets changed. He came up to our room, took a picture of the stain, and told us he would bring sheets for us to change the bed ourselves. After a very long day of traveling, we asked if housekeeping was available to change our sheets. The attendant said housekeeping was not available and told us we were to change our own sheets. We then asked for a discount or a different room for this downgrade in quality

The check in process was smooth and easy. The room was clean and the food was great. My husband and I had a relaxing stay. The hotel was not overcrowded and it is easy to locate. We did not have a hard time getting there from JFK Airport.

Thank you so much to Gary & Paula! Gary, was hospitable upon first contact. I was displaced due to a violation issue at an AIRBNB property. I come from this industry and will say the way I was treated I will never forget the level of kindness extended by everyone. Also, they have a wide range of complimentary breakfast options. My only suggestion is possibly throwing in a turkey morning option for those who don’t eat pork. They have plenty of other items you can choose from. Do not hesitate to book at this hotel.

Stayed here for one night before an early flight and unfortunately had a terrible experience. My room on the 7th floor had bed bugs, and I woke up with bites all over my body. What made the situation worse was the lack of response from the hotel. They refused to issue a refund, so I’m now working through IHG to resolve it. For a hotel that is part of the IHG brand, I expected much better especially as a Platinum member. Very disappointing experience, and not somewhere I would choose to stay again.

I stayed here on 12-4 they 12-6, the front desk staff was very nice and helpful when I needed a taxi car not an Uber. I really enjoyed the continental breakfast that was offered free of charge. The room was clean because I super inspect. The location was awesome, it was near the LIRR and most train lines, busses and the air train to JFK. My view was beautiful. There was one draw back the Internet was not stable. Overall I enjoyed my stay. I recommend
