Holiday Inn Arlington at Ballston by IHG

I had a really pleasant stay this past weekend. This was actually my first time staying at a Holiday Inn. I do not usually book this brand. From the moment I checked in, the experience felt welcoming. The woman at the front desk was kind, had a great sense of humor, and brought a positive energy that immediately set the tone for my stay. The two gentlemen at the restaurant were just as friendly and attentive. Service felt natural and easy, which made dining there enjoyable. My room was clean and well maintained, exactly what you want when traveling. At checkout, the team was again helpful and patient, taking time to answer my questions and provide additional information without making it feel rushed. The hotel was quite centrally located. Metro is 10 to 15 min walk but the bus stop is around 5-7 min. There was also a Target nearby. The hotel do have, washing machine, dryer, ice machine an a gym which is good enough for me and my friends. The hotel was also reasonable price and the TV do have a lot of channels to watch. For improvement, The TV was quite a old model and hope the hotel will change all.

I had a wonderful stay! The room was cozy and the hallway was quiet! The from staff working the evening shift were magnificent!!! Mimi and the other young lady were extremely kind, friendly and helpful!! The location was also perfect! It’s walkable (metro and restaurants close by.)

My family and I stayed at this hotel over the Thanksgiving holiday. Together we occupied 5 rooms: 3 regular rooms and 2 suites. This hotel is quite worn out but almost all of the important things were first rate: comfort, quiet, beds, bathrooms, food, service. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. When I say worn out I mean the furniture and carpets etc. were old and frayed. But they were clean. The one bad thing was the coffee which was terrible but there is a Starbucks very near by.

The staff here is very friendly and helpful, which definitely helps with making the stay more pleasant. The is that this Holiday Inn offers good amenities to their IHG loyalty members. Most nights are pretty affordable compared to other hotels in the area. The building is long overdue for a renovation. The rooms look like a relic from the early 2000s, especially the bathroom and showers. The doors still use the older magnetic swipe keys that demagnetize if they're near a phone for too long. Sound insulation between rooms is not good either. But even with the old rooms, housekeeping could be better. Towels are clean but seem worn and sometimes have holes in them. The garbage cans don't have liners in them, which is strange. It's just the little things that housekeeping can do that can make
