Hilton Jacksonville at Mayo Clinic

I really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was clean, staff was friendly, rooms were updated. Location was great if you want to be close to the hospital or close to the beaches. They have a wonderful bar and outdoor area, which we really enjoyed. Our water pressure was a little off a few times, but it wasn't terrible. Most of the time it was just fine. The service at the bar and restaurant was extremely slow. Food was okay. Drinks were great. Staff was very friendly and helpful. If you want to spend time here, I would just be sure to budget extra time.

This a beautiful, brand new hotel that offers very comfortable rooms that give the comforts of home while being away. It’s perfectly situated on Mayo Clinic’s campus, so if you have an appointment, it’s the perfect overnight location. It’s a lot better and nicer than the Courtyard on campus. Oddly, there was no “Do not disturb” sign in the room. The soaking tub and the morning room service to get coffee were great benefits of staying here.

Effortless arrival and checkin. We appreciated the room key use to operate the elevators for extra security. The double queen room was ample is size with a more modern indirect lighting system. Took a little to determine how to turn the lights off. The bath was modern with a walk in shower. The air control was easy to operate and kept the room comfortable. We were on the back side of the facility overlooking the roof of the conference center, a better view in higher floors. We were in a room furthest from the JTB and still could hear loud vehicles passing. One item that was a bit irritating the first night was the motion sensors for night lights on the bed base. The service was great by all of the staff except one. The nightshift desk clerk spoke in a friendly tone but in a very displeasing manner. She made a comment about getting bad reviews and didn’t seem very worried. I’m sure she just needs a course in customer service training. The lack of clean rooms made for an unpleasant stay. This is surprising since the hotel just opened in October. The decor of this hotel is very appealing and the rooms have potential especially since there isn’t a lot of carpet. This makes me wonder why the rooms weren’t as clean as they could have been for most of the surfaces are can be easily vacuumed and wiped down. The other people at the restaurant and bar and even the coffee shop were great and deserve five stars all around.

I would like to leave a review for Johanna, the bartender at the Hilton at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. This is a brand-new hotel, and Johanna truly elevates the entire experience. Both times I have eaten at the hotel were at the bar, with Johanna as the bartender. The first time was during Sunday brunch, and the second time was today. On both occasions, her service was outstanding. For example, the hotel does not normally offer fresh orange juice, yet Johanna personally squeezed fresh oranges at the bar to prepare a glass of juice just for me.
