Hilton Garden Inn was an overall okay stay. The room was comfortable enough and had the basics you’d expect, and the property itself was generally clean and well-kept. Check-in was smooth, and the location was convenient for what we needed. That said, nothing really stood out as exceptional. A few small details could’ve been better—service felt a bit hit-or-miss, and some areas of the hotel could use a refresh to match the brand’s usual standard. Not a bad stay, just not particularly memorable. Decent option if you need something reliable for a night or two.
Spent one night here this past week while chaperoning a school field trip to Washington, D.C. In general, the hotel was nice. The room was clean, had ample space, beds were comfortable, and the HVAC unit made plenty of white noise to block out the sounds outside. Our group had a buffet breakfast in the meeting room space the next morning. It was okay, but not great. The main reason for my negative rating though was the water. Our hotel room had no hot water at all. None. ||We had 2 adults and 2 kids. The adults tried everything possible (there is a usual handle set up) and still nothing. We assumed because so many in our group arrived and possibly trying to shower at once had overloaded the hotel system. The next morning we discovered it was just our room. An ice cold shower is something t
I booked a room for Monday and Tuesday night ($475/night including parking). My work schedule changed and I called the property to change my reservation to Tuesday - Friday. I was put on hold for more than 10 mins twice by a lady with an Arab accent (no name). I called back a third time and she finally decided to speak with me. I told her the situation and she put me on hold again for 30 mins. At the 30min point the call ended. I called back again and she told me I need to speak with the front desk. She transferred me over and a man (Arab accent, no name) answered the phone. I explained the situation to him as well. He did not take any of my information. He asked me to hold and once again I waited 30 mins before the call ended. I’ve had better experience dealing with customer service at a
Let’s start with the handicap parking situation. I’m going to generously assume there was a language barrier between myself and the front desk associate, because I was told there was handicap parking available. Plot twist: there wasn’t. Not on the level that was open, anyway. When you first enter the parking garage, the aesthetic can best be described as “urban survival documentary.” If you know, you know. Not exactly the welcoming vibe you expect after paying hotel prices. The room itself? Basic. Clean, yes. Spectacular? Absolutely not. It gave “we tried” energy. The lobby, however, is nicely set up — which is adorable considering you won’t actually be sleeping much to enjoy the rest of the stay. If you’re someone who enjoys the soothing sounds of jackhammers in the middle of the night
It was amazing!!! Thank you. Breakfast was great. Room was great. Customer service was awesome. Will consider this location again. My only gripe is that the 50th MCM was this weekend. It’s unfortunate that breakfast times were not adjusted for runners. Even having quick little bags with bananas, granola bars, orange slices, water or OJ would be very considerate. One day I didn’t even use my breakfast voucher so I felt like I wasted my money. Some of my friends had that marathon breakfast bag and I would have loved it too for the marathon day and shakeout run at the National Mall. Just something to consider. Thank you!
