Pull up and meet Maggie at valet parking. She's the first person you see and lucky for you . She's wonderful. Walk in and ask for Kylie who is simply the best at arranging, advice and welcoming the guests. Excellent folks making a stay great. Now the rooms here are the best we've seen in years . We stayed here for the first time the weekend after Thanksgiving. The Hilton Garden Inn Waterfront was the perfect location for our visit. We could walk everywhere, which is actually what I love about the size of Portland. The valet parking was a great service and a value. The staff was pleasant. We had a suite and a king room, both clean and comfortable. The suite was large and well-appointed, with a lovely sitting area and a huge table for eating and playing games. The indoor hot tub was nice, and there were cookies, coffee, and cider offered in the lobby at different times. We will stay here again. Loved it!

Probably one of the nicest hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, the rooms and common areas are super clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect for walking to the main attractions. The water view rooms are so worth it if you can wake up in time to see the sun rise over the water! What set this hotel apart for me were the little touches, like warm cookies and hot cider in the evening with a guitarist playing soft music in the lobby.

Positive: Location and how clean it was Negative: We were not told up front breakfast was a pay to eat until you sat down. Stayed day earlier at another Hilton and had free breakfast. Skip the white robes and provide breakfast like other Hilton. We felt guilty sitting and not ordering.

We had a brilliant stay here when in Portland. The location is fantastic, right on the Harbor. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast not included but the options were reasonably priced and very good. The staff were incredibly friendly (especially at breakfast). I would definitely stay here again. My only complaint would be the $40 per night parking charge! Its valet parking. I paid $80 and didn't move the car a single time while at the hotel so the cost seems very excessive!
