Hilton Garden Inn Fort Wayne

This was honestly the worst Hilton we have ever stayed at. The room itself was not terrible. Our bed linens were extremely wrinkled and I found some hair on the bedspread, which was gross. The rest of the room was clean. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, the pillows were very uncomfortable. Both my husband and I woke up sore and exhausted today. Additionally, the noise was TERRIBLE. I could hardly sleep with the noise of the traffic all night. The blinds-despite being fully closed-let in bright light all night long. We were woken up by staff at 6am, as we were apparently placed in a room next to their cleaning closet. They were loud, banging doors, talking loudly, and started vacuuming rooms above us, which we could hear and could not sleep. We barely slept and ate too tired today to ev

I always look forward to a stay at the garden inns. The option to order breakfast is one of the main reasons. However, I was very disappointed with this stay. Our first room, was not the room we chose on the app. The bathroom had a horrible odor, which we were moved to another room. Breakfast the next morning, was disappointing. I ordered an omelette, with a side of bacon and we usually get the potatoes included- a perk of ordering off the menu vs the buffets. The omelette was greasy and tasted raw even though it was charred, we got two pieces of bacon and were told the potatoes were not included. We had to get our own coffee - which normally a small karafe is on the table. While we did receive an inconvenience discount, I was very disappointed and sick the rest of the day.

I cannot say enough good things about the team here! Traveling with young children can be stressful, but the staff made it feel like a breeze. They were incredibly accommodating from the moment we checked in, anticipating needs we didn't even know we had. Their hospitality is genuine, warm, and professional. If you’re looking for a place where your family will be truly taken care of, this is it!

The rooms are pretty nice. However they do not have complementary breakfast. I’m not sure why so many hotels are steering away from this. We are Hilton members! They wanted to charge EIGHTEEN dollars a person for breakfast. We will most likely not stay here again simply for that. I could go to a nice sit down restaurant for that breakfast price. To some this may seem small and I promise I’m not a Karen. But hotels need to go back to complimentary breakfast and stop nickel and diming everyone. This would’ve added $72 dollars onto the bill. For hotel breakfast. Hilton do better. Especially for your members!
