Hampton Inn & Suites Jacksonville - Beach Boulevard/Mayo Clinic Area

I was here for about a week while attending appointments at the Mayo Clinic. Room was tidy, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel shuttle service to Mayo was excellent, friendly, and easy to use. Book in advance and know that the shuttle runs until 4:45. The pool is a basic indoor pool and the fitness center has a few cardio machines and a weight rack. Clean and accessible facilities. Laundry machines were good too. Breakfast was basic, but there's fruit and coffee available throughout the day. Shopping, restaurants, groceries, and gas stations are all walkable from the hotel. Hotel staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Dee took very good care of us, as did the rest of the staff. Any requests were answered quickly and satisfactorily. PLEASE STAY ELSEWHERE AND SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLES. POOL IS SUPPOSED UNDER MAINTENANCE—and has been for many weeks or months. Sundries shop is being remodeled but you won’t see any progress or anybody working on it. Was there 3 days and saw ZERO PROGRESS on sundries shop and pool. Elevators are raggedy and noisy. They accept ANY breed of dogs. Hotel housekeepers speak ZERO ENGLISH. ||||Hotel front desk workers are unprofessional and discourteous and do not belong in hospitality industry. Bad look for Hilton. ||||The hotel isn’t just OK and is definitely not a 3-star property. Shower was fine but the 2 sinks had poor water streams/pressure and hot water issues. I would not recommend staying here, especially for families traveling with children. My experience with the front desk—specifically an employee named Ami—was extremely disappointing. She was unhelpful, dismissive, and provided inaccurate information, which only added to an already frustrating situation. The hotel does not offer cribs, which is a major issue for families (unless the information I was given was incorrect). When we needed luggage carts, none were available at the front desk. Ami claimed she saw someone bringing one down in the elevator, but no one ever arrived. When we reached our floor, we found two carts sitting unused by the elevators. Dee, Tammy, Charity, Isabelle, Terri,Harry, David, and the whole staff go above and beyond for each Guest to ensure they have what they need. Transportation to and from the Mayo, a hot breakfast, clean rooms, lovely well maintained pool, gym, office, wake up calls and a kind good night. If your a patient at the Mayo clinic and need to stay for care trust your stay with the Hampton Inn and Suites, it certainly became my home away from home.

The rooms are standard hotel rooms. They are clean. I'm sure to some, it could use an update but for a quick stay it was perfect. The staff were kind and professional. They handled our service dog perfectly and appeared educated and familiar with the ADA questions and regulations with service dogs. This was the perfect hotel for our Mayo Clinic stay.
