Hampton Inn & Suites Dallas-The Colony, TX

We only stayed one night at this property. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The entire property was very clean. We stayed in a king room on the 6th floor. The room looked new. The bed was so comfortable that my husband was ready to go home and go mattress shopping. The water pressure was great in the shower. The hot, buffet style breakfast was one of the best that we've had at a hotel. The cut up fresh fruit was amazing, and the hot chocolate chip cookies offered at check-in were very yummy! We would definitely stay again.

Let me start off by saying that the staff are all great. None of my issues are with the staff, just the comfortability of the room. When we first arrived, we were able to check in on our phone through the app which was nice inconvenient so we got to bypass the large line and go straight to our room. However, the digital key didn’t work and there was another couple across the hall that have physical keys and theirs didn’t work either. We had to go back downstairs and wait in the line to get new keys. This is not the fault of the staff, though. There was some sort of technical issue. The room itself was 50-50. Some good some bad. It was clean and that’s probably the most important thing. However, the bed was very uncomfortable. It felt like a spring mattress. The fold out couch bed was more

This is the third time I have stayed at the hotel. This is always been my preferred choice in Dallas.||Now they are charging four dollars for parking per day. ||Now, after getting two free bottles of water when you check in as a Hilton, diamond member, if you want another bottle of water, you have to pay for it. I stayed there two nights this visit. I stay at 20 hotels a year, most of them being Hamptons. This is virtually the first that charges for water after the first two bottles for diamond members.||I guess they feel they are busy so they can charge both for water and for parking .||I guess I can find another hotel next visit.

Positive: I like that I can count on a Hampton Inn & Suites to be clean, nice, well run with a good breakfast all on a repeat basis. Negative: The roll up blind in our room was broken and made our room very dark. The front door is extremely close to the front desk, so when I was standing in line to check in, people arriving through the front door would almost bang into me.

Angel was amazing! She was stuck dealing with the keycard system not working and never complained once walking each and every guest to their room. She kept mentioning how she cares so much about her guests and you could see it. Staff were great. The room was decent but had loud neighbors and bathroom had a slight sewage smell. Overall great stay and Angel made a bad situation seem like nothing.
