Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Plano/The Colony

Courtyard, to ne was always supposed to be the professionals hotel, so I don't expect luxury as much as I do convenience and professional, clean rooms, with professional employees. I was sorely disappointed in this Courtyard. Don't get me wrong, the staff were friendly but mostly inept. And there were a lot of little things that added up to the poor rating I provided. The room: 1) very poor repairs completed (photo attached), 2) had to beg for coffee refills every morning (even after a room service was performed),3) bed felt like a cheap mattress with a topper on it (old and worn out), I wine up with a back ache every morning, 4) hour water in the shower wouldn't last more than 10 minutes before it petered out. Staff: trying to get a drink at their bar was a joke. No one knew how to

Staff very polite, room the average beds terribly hard and small. Location great can walk to restaurants and shopping nearby by car. Easy to get on expressways. Shower was different with one end totally open, I didn't like it got cold on that end unless bathroom was heated up first but easy to exit if a senior. I would stay there again despite the beds.

Positive: The location and the staff were friendly and helpful Negative: We could hear everything that was going on in the room above us from the toilet flushing to their foot steps. This made it very difficult to sleep.They was no microwave in the room and the ice machine on our level was broken.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property was very clean and welcoming, and the staff ( Farhan and Raeann) were incredibly kind and professional. The receptionist(Raeann) truly went out of their way to help us—when I accidentally booked a king bed instead of queen beds, they happily accommodated us. They also offered an allergy-free room when one of us developed allergies in the Plano area, which made a huge difference. Excellent service and genuine care for guests. Highly recommended!

Overall, the hotel is in great shape and most of the staff were wonderful. Unfortunately, sleeping was difficult. We had loud neighbors until after 3 a.m., curtains that wouldn’t fully close (letting in bright exterior lights), and a loud beeping from the ice maker on our last night. Multiple attempts to reach the front desk overnight were unsuccessful, and when I reported it in the morning, there was no acknowledgment or apology. A fine hotel, but the lack of rest and response was frustrating.
