Hampton Inn NY-JFK

Review: Hampton Inn JFK Airport – Disappointing Customer Service and Experience I am currently staying at the Hampton Inn JFK Airport, and unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing, especially when it comes to customer service. I rented two adjoining rooms for myself, my son, his wife, and their two children. When we arrived last night, I went ahead to check us in while my son unloaded the luggage. Due to the lack of parking space directly in front of the hotel, he had to immediately move the car, leaving my daughter-in-law to bring the luggage inside on a cart. She was clearly struggling to get through the entrance because the first set of doors are manual and must be physically opened while pushing a heavy luggage cart. Stayed here for one night when we had a long layover at JFK. Didn't know they had a shuttle when we booked it, but we did take the shuttle back to the airport. Very close. Room was generally okay. The carpet was old and needed stretching (or replacing) to get the wrinkles out. Beds were very comfy. Nice HUGE TV in the room for watching football! Room had lots of places to charge devices which is nice in an older hotel. The breakfast was pretty great. Had a few options I don't normally see at these kinds of hotels (for example, there was regular waffle batter and also churro batter). Had lots of fruits and nuts to put on waffles or in yogurt, including fresh blueberries. Kept well stocked too.

Meeting Isamar truly made my stay unforgettable! When I arrived, she greeted me with such warmth, kindness, and genuine care that I instantly felt at home. She didn’t just do her job she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and that I was comfortable and happy throughout my stay. Her compassion, patience, and beautiful spirit really stood out, and it meant more to me than she probably knows. She is an absolute gem and a true blessing to this hotel. We had a delayed flight and this was one of the alternative Hotels that AA was giving us and that we chose. My only negative point is about food, but not entirely the hotel´s fault. AA gave us food vouchers but once at the hotel, given the time, no food was available, only snacks, so we used the vouchers in those, no big deal though. I did work at hotels were when guests were coming from delayed flights, some food alternatives were given, like sandwichs or salads, so I know is something feasible, maybe just a thought for the future. |Positive points, everything else! The hotel is conveniently located near the airport, with easy access via air train or car. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. While the breakfast options were limited, they were still enjoyable, except for the frozen boiled hard-boiled eggs. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-organized. Additionally, the hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere. However, parking is a concern, as there’s limited space. If you choose to park your car near the hotel, you’ll have to pay $50. Despite this, the overall price is reasonable. The hotel provides complimentary coffee in the room and at the reception area.
