Hampton Inn Jacksonville-I-295 East/Baymeadows

Positive: I thought it was a really nice feature to text me and if I needed anything I could just text back. That was cool. Negative: Room was dingy. Bathroom door was broken. Last guest hair in shower. Window blinds didn?t work properly. Front desk wasn?t all that friendly. But great location.

The room was clean and more spacious than expected. Bathroom was nice but a bit small for this spacious room. We had the king bed suite. We stayed three nights for a golf tournament and the bed was comfortable. It was a very cold weekend so it was nice that the heater worked well in the room... The hotel itself is well maintained but it does show its age. Service was great with Front desk, housekeeping and breakfast. Hotel is well located by stores, restaurants and the highway. And not far from Jax Beach pier. I'd still recommend this hotel.

This hotel at 8127 Point Meadows Dr. Jacksonville FL 32256 was a great choice for us. Denise at the front check in greeted us with opens arms. She was delightful and friendly all with a smile. We stayed here while going to visit St Augustine and the room was nice overall. It was clean use a better cleaning behind the bed on the floor was dust and debris. No worries I did not sleep down there anyways but I did check for critters. There were none and no evidence of any. I would know I'm in the bug killing business so it got my approval. We slept just fine. The hot water was more on the warm side not very hot but it would suffice. The free coffee downstairs was great but the breakfast was not so much. I stayed at this hotel for work because it’s conveniently located and surrounded by good food options. However, my experience was far from what I expect from a Hampton Inn.||Upon check-in, I was given a room that reeked of mold and mildew. The front desk agent quickly apologized and moved me to another room, which was somewhat better but still had a lingering odor. The agent mentioned that the hotel had recently experienced an air conditioning malfunction, which may explain the strong mold and mildew smell throughout the hallways and rooms. Regardless, this property clearly needs a full remodel, as well as stronger management oversight to set a better example for the staff. Elevator bangs and clunks when it took us to the 3rd floor. Off the elevator the hallway smelled of a weird chemical smell. When we opened the door to the room there was a worse odor. We did get use to the smell but not nice. Bed was comfy, the shower did not have shampoo or body wash. One was empty and the other missing. Makes you wonder how clean the room is if housekeeping doesn’t notice. Breakfast was poor as well, no orange juice and microwaved eggs and meat.
