Hampton Inn Jacksonville East Regency Square

Adequate room, very comfortable bed and nice towels. But the floor is filthy. I dropped something on the floor under a table and was disgusted by the filth. The room needs a thorough cleaning, it has only been surface cleaned. The vent over the fan in the bathroom looks like it has not ever been cleaned. Ever! Everything smells musty

Perfect location for what we needed. The room was clean. We loved the high ceilings and the room felt spacious. The cookies at the front desk were also a win for our kids. Great stay in Jacksonville.

Unfortunately, the check-in experience on the 10 Jan evening was quite unpleasant. I arrived tired after work and a drive of over two hours, still in my military uniform, and was greeted by a front desk agent who appeared disengaged and dismissive. He did not make eye contact at any time during the interaction, he abruptly placed the room key on the counter, and told me and I quote while moving his hand “ I think u need to scan that “.||He rushed through breakfast information and directions while continuing to avoid eye contact. I even made an effort to ask how his day was, recognizing that something else may have been going on, but I was nonetheless on the receiving end of the poor interaction.||Due to this experience, I would not recommend this hotel to my superiors when asked. Customer service was very poor (aside from the sweet lady that worked the breakfast room). Front desk took several times to answer the phone. The hotel room phone didn’t work. The body wash was out, and we requested more. Front desk said sure, and they never came. They also failed to monitor floors when complaints were made about groups loitering and playing in hallways at 11:00pm - 2:00am. Front desk was called, they said they would come up, nobody came up. Aside from the location and the nice waffle maker at breakfast, customer service was abysmal and management was poor.

This is one of the worst Hampton Inns I’ve stayed at. For more than a decade, I’ve been staying in Hampton Inns because they usually safe, clean, and have good coffee. We needed a hot breakfast for our son who was competing in a race. They didn’t have hot breakfast because someone didn’t show up. There was a sign saying that they offer take away breakfast, so I asked for that, but they don’t have them on weekends (it was Saturday morning). The bathroom door wobbled and didn’t close all the way. There was hair (that wasn’t ours) in the tub/shower area. Check-in was chaotic because of not enough people working. The thing that made the room keys was messed up. Only one of our keys worked. The hallway had been painted, so it smelled of paint fumes (it would have been nice to let us know before
