Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Potomac Mills Woodbridge

A nice overnight stay with my two kids and I. The bathroom could have used updating (tub faucet leaked)but other than that the room was nice. Breakfast was better than many other hotels offer. Staff as always was helpful and efficient which I appreciate when staying somewhere. The GPS directions on Waze when I clicked on them from the app didn't quite get us there but we found it within 2 minutes from where it took us.

The staff was great, rooms were fresh and clean. The hotel is located in a nice area with many restaurants nearby. I will come back when I'm in the area again.

I have rarely written a negative review. I stayed in this hotel because it was a Marriott Fairfield which I have been happy with before. The pros The staff was nice. Cons This looked like an old Days Inn that they just renamed. First of all when arriving the lobby area smelled like marijuana. I’m not saying it was, but it smelled like that The rooms were clean but very dated. The water in the sink was either burning hot or cold. The bathtub faucet was dripping all night and could not turn it off. We were afraid to take a shower because we thought we would freeze or be burned. If I were Marriott, I would be ashamed to have call this hotel a Fairfield Inn. Not sure if I will stay in Fairfield again after experiencing this

No safe, despite claims on the website. Broken coffee maker. Threadbare towels. Chemical cleansers in use in the breakfast area, along with vacuuming around diners.
