Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Jacksonville West/Chaffee Point

We stayed through Christmas and just want to say the staff was AMAZING! They were very kind and helpful. Our dog travels with us and they were very sweet to him as well (he's a big boy so most people ignore him). My only wish was that the larger room we were in had a king instead of the queen.

Hoetel looks modern from the outside. Reception area welcoming and clean. Swimming pool not heated. Th pool srea needs updating and new ventilation system. Breakfast poor. Kitchen staff friendly and work hard to keep customers feed. Carpets need replacing because of the odours. Staff professional, really helpful and knowledgeable about the area

My family and I were going to stay at this hotel for one night while passing through Jacksonville, but unfortunately after experiencing some issues we had to check out the same day we checked in.||Let me first start out with the positives! Cassi Bennett at the front desk was beyond amazing!! She was so friendly and did whatever she could to try to accommodate us. We really appreciate her!!||Unfortunately, this hotel needs a new ventilation system in the rooms and common areas. When we stepped off the elevator on the 4th floor, I was greeted by a moisture smell. ||As soon as I got into both the rooms we were assigned I was super unimpressed by how humid they were. The a/c didn’t really cool the rooms down. It felt like being stuck in a rainforest giving me a headache. We were assigned rooms

Positive: "" Negative: They didn't clean our room during the duration of our trip, front office came across like we were bothering when we mentioned it.

I chose this hotel over the others nearby because it has an indoor hot tub and I'm competing in races all weekend and looked forward to the relief. Stepped into an ice cold plunge tank. Don't count on amenities being available...earned it's 2 star hotel rating.
