Extended Stay America Suites- Secaucus - New York City Area

My mom and I stayed here, and we had such a great time! The room was clean, and we had a nice view of New York from the window. Breakfast is nice for a little coffee and quick snack but thankfully It’s super convenient because it’s right next to a Walmart, Dunkin’, and tons of other places to grab a bite.. The staff was fantastic..the young guy at the front was so kind to my mom and me, making sure we had everything we needed. If you’re thinking of traveling and want something not too pricey, definitely give this place a shot!

If you won’t mind a short bus trip back and forth to NYC, then it’s the best affordable hotel choice you can get. It was not a big deal for us because we liked the vibe of going in and out of NY. Walmart was just a few walks away which was the best part, getting goods was very easy. There’s also a nearby food place which was a plus too. The breakfast was not the best (as an Asian girl who loves her rice meals lol) Coffee is available so that was good start to any day

I have no clue how this place is over 3 stars. When I think of crack/roach motels, this is exactly what I imagine the inside to be. Don’t let the location and outside of the building fool you, the rooms are a dump. The whole place is in desperate need of a renovation. It was so bad, the moment the door to the room opened, my wife cried. EVERYTHING was old and run down. Couch had a giant rip, “clean” towels had long black hairs in them, the microwave had a black hair stuck on the door and last but not least a cockroach running around the stove. The trash rooms are gross - left garbage Saturday morning and still wasn’t picked up when we escaped Sunday morning. Did not bother complaining; there were so many things wrong that I’m sure ownership knows what they’re working with. We cut

I had a very disappointing experience at Extended Stay America – Suites Secaucus – New York City Area during my stay. The most serious issue was a cockroach problem. We saw cockroaches not only in our room but also in the hallways. I took photos for documentation. This is a major sanitation and health concern, especially for an extended stay. I live in Florida, and I am now worried that we may have brought cockroaches back in our luggage or vehicle because of this stay. Another unacceptable issue was the lack of basic amenities. We were told toilet paper would be provided for the duration of the stay, but when I went to the front desk to request more, I was told they had run out and were given facial tissues to use instead.
