Extended Stay America Suites- New Orleans - Metairie

I recommend this hotel for a good practical place to stay for the night or a week or longer. It is set up with a full kitchen, nice living room and a good bedroom. Bathrooms are always clean.maid service is always Bad to make sure your room is nice. Freshly clean for the next day when you get back from your normal business or recreation time when you're ready to get back to your hotel room and relax with a nice, clean, fresh room again, the price is very proud to go and the staff is always courteous and very cheerful and very helpful. The hotel always has two swimming pools at hand for swimming and relaxation. Plenty of parking and security cameras are all around the hotel. Very safe area to go. I recommend this hotel for everyone

The room we had was HORRENDOUS! The front desk clerk was very nonchalant about it being Nasty. She gave us another room which was just as Nasty as the first room. The third room was okay but I will never stay here again. The water in the sinks wouldn’t go down, the toilet ran constantly. The bed was HORRIBLE! Stains on the mattress cover, sheets were Nasty and stained. The floors had not been swept, the tub was nasty. This was a terrible experience.

I didn’t actually have any type of good experience with this hotel. My door keys were always having to be changed out because they wouldn’t work after 12 hrs. The room smelled like sewer gas or a toilet seal failure. I had to buy a plug-in air freshener to make it tolerable. The floors were very dirty. Had to constantly wear shoes or you’d end up with black feet. The tv wouldn’t work half the time when you tried to view the tv guide. They charge you for dishes if you ask for them for the room. The microwave is so low to the ground that I had to bend down on my hands and knees to get to it under the cabinet. There was a stupid dog in one of the rooms that barked at 5:30 am sharp every morning. It wouldn’t shut up for over 30 minutes and nobody on the hotel staff would do anything about it.

Staff was polite & professional at check in but seemed undermanned at check in. Hotel is run down & in disrepair. I stayed in room 204 & had broken valve in shower that just spun in circles but had no hot water. Hole in wall behind faucet where it had obviously been worked on already. Talked to front desk at 18:00 & was told they had no maintenance at night. There were no other rooms since this was during Mardi Gras. Looks like this was once a nice place but now it is just run down and in disrepair.
