Extended Stay America Select Suites- Newport News - Oyster Point

Overall, my experience here was not bad. I would stay here again but not during the winter. Certain quirks of this hotel prompted me to write a review to make others aware of them. I was here from mid November until the beginning of January while I was waiting for my apartment move-in. Positives: Staff were all nice, very comfortable bed, large desk, comfortable armchair, did not struggle to find a parking spot. Some other reviews have mentioned pests. I did not have any issues with roaches or anything like that. Only issue I had with other guests was a couple of people habitually double-parking in the spots closest to the rooms on my side of the building, but otherwise no complaints about the other people who stay here. I've gotta say, the customer service was top-notch, and housekeeping kept my room spotless during my first visit. I totally recommend this place. The location is great, and it was super quiet the whole time I was there. The vibe was just awesome. Everything amenity worked well and was clean. It was totally worth the money. Definitely check this place out if you ever need somewhere to crash. Also, I've been here before, and it has definitely been a complete turnaround since the last time I was here.

Positive: The one thing that stood out to me is the warm welcome and professional staff at this location. U almost felt like royalty. They really care. Great place I will be back. Negative: Not a one thing.

It's very nice to get a room thats clean having everything thing i need (stove refrigerator microwave and the shower pressure is great)as if I was in my own apartment. The whole staff is great, friendly nice and they care like family. Thanks ladies for all the help and words of encouragement. Lynda
