Extended Stay America Select Suites- Jacksonville - Salisbury Rd. - Southpoint

I have been in between work contracts for a little while now. While looking for work, I have been staying at Extended Stays. I have stayed at Extended Stays in Altamonte, Kissimmee, Bradenton, and Temple Terrace. So far I have been pleased with what has been provided. It has been ideal. Has it been perfect? Of course not, but it has provided a roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, and a kitchenette, so that I am not eating out all the time. Most could use an upgrade in appliances and a fresh coat of paint. But once again. I have been thankful. So when I went to check into this Extended Stay, I did not think anything of the grounds, where it was located, in Jacksonville, nor the fact that the attendant was missing. I waited for over 12+ minutes so that I could check in. I almost

Positive: The staff!! They were all amazing with great customer service. Very friendly and welcoming. Definitely recommend this place Negative: There really wasn’t anything I had an issue with, if I had to pick something I would just say the building is a little outdated but still livable and has everything you need, my bathroom door in my room would not shut all the way but overall great stay

The people that work there are the absolute best! Kay and Loretta at the front desk are the best ever and nicest hotel staff I have ever met. The lady that does housekeeping is a sweetheart. Can't say enough good about the staff. Rooms are a little older, but the price is so good there, the old doesn't bother me, mostly just sleep when I'm there anyways. Thanks for a great 2months while my wife and I get settled in jax!

I must start off by saying, I read reviews on this hotel all the way back to last year and I was concerned. I arrived and took a drive around. It is not a large hotel, one way in and out. Parking was plentiful and I was able to secure a spot near the lobby entrance. Upon entering the hotel, I had to be let in by someone who works there. The front door is key access only. Holy cow! I found later that all doors, with the exception of one, are key access only. The woman at the desk greeted me with the warmest smile and “Welcome” from a Towanna. Someone was cleaning around the lobby area and it smelled wonderful. Check in was easy, I was on an upper floor and there was an elevator option thankfully as I don’t prefer the stairs. The hotel suite was immaculate, spacious with a full kitchenette.

This room was absolutely disgusting! I mean nasty! Floors torn socks black, floors had not even been swept, there was nails like figure nails on the floor that worn, only one stove top worked, light and fan above the stove did not work, neither lamps by the bed worked. The table/counter was severely warped! Doors falling apart, every morning they would mop the lobby with water that stank like dirty feet so bad! We tabl travel for work and We planned to stay 6+ months and did not last a week which was the fastest they could transfer us to a different location!
