Extended Stay America Select Suites- Jacksonville - North

I was really hoping this would be a clean place for an overnight stay but I was wrong. In was 75 dollars so I guess I can't complain and I wouldn't if it was some off brand motel but this was a branded hotel and I guess I expected better, even for 75$. The check in desk stayed open for our late arrival but only because I called ahead and told them. They were nice. I'd suggest doing that if you're staying there because when I made the reservation they said they'd notify them of my late arrival but evidently did not. Sign there says desk closes at 10 pm. It is set way back in a professional park against the fence along the highway so it was dark and not where you'd want to be at night. No where to walk to breakfast. The staff had great customer service skills and very sweet. The GM Angela was great she checked us in with no issues and accommodated all of my needs.housekeeping comes by every day would definitely recommend!

Unfortunately, I was only passing through due to a railroad nail puncturing my tire during travel. After waiting several hours at a gas station with two children, I checked in late at night and had booked two rooms through We Salute at a discounted rate. Upon check-in, I informed the night attendant that I had a discount and that my reservation was made before midnight. She was rude and dismissive, which was especially difficult given the circumstances and the long, stressful night. I was assigned Rooms 323 and 324. Room 323 was clearly infested with cockroaches. Roaches were visible coming from the corners of the stove, on the floor, and on the ceiling. I immediately contacted the night attendant to report the infestation. She implied there was nothing she could do and stated that there w

Positive: "" Negative: Roaches EVERYWHERE!! Complete negligence of the hotel! Locked doors broken..mold...outdated! The hotel needs to be sold to someone who would do the residents a better service. AT LEAST PEST CONTROL!! I was even denied the chance to speak with a manager!

We quickly had to find a local place to stay and I was leery going to extended stay from stories I had heard. We arrived late and had to call , were immediately greeted by a very accommodating and helpful young man at the front desk. Great personality and extremely helpful. Rooms were ok, nothing extraordinary but served its purpose. Staff was helpful, room was clean, although outdated and bare. I would definitely cone back. Very little could be don't to make hhf rooms more inviting- like a small coffee pot, more than 2 towels etc.
