Extended Stay America Select Suites- Jacksonville - Lenoir Avenue East

I want to say that the staff is terrific, very polite. But the building needs to be remodeled ASAP or condemned. No human should let another human live that way. I understand that this is a “budget-friendly” hotel. But ain’t nothing friendly other than the staff. The place is downright scary. First off, my room was horrible. I planned to stay there for 30 days, and of course, I didn't. The Floors were sticky, so sticky that my shoes stuck to the floor and made a peeling sound when my foot came up. The room smelled like a sewer. I didn't sleep at all that night. I was scared to sleep in the bed, smh. I didn't sleep in the bed. For the lady I spoke with about the room, thank you for your top-notch customer service. I have more to write, but I think this is enough.

Positive: I enjoyed the quiet space n spacious room Negative: The sheets were dirty had boo boo on mattress cover .I went to front desk twice and no one still didn't come in change the sheets..So our whole stay there were had to sleep on dirty linen.The bathroom floor was dirty. Did not have a pleasant experience here. Stayed for one night and I will never come back. The room had roaches, someone had used the bathroom prior to us going in and the toilet was dirty. The toilet seat was not even connected to the toilet. When taking a shower, the shower curtain would not close due to the rod falling off of the wall, therefore letting water on the floor, The shower faucet dripped ALL NIGHT. Upon leaving, I realized that I had lost my debit card and my ID and the receptionist got an attitude and told me that it wasn’t his responsibility to find my items. Yeah DON’T STAY HERE!!

I’ve stayed at the 6961 Lenoir Avenue East, Jacksonville Florida 32216 location close to two months. They have policies in place regarding paying for your reservation, it can be monthly or weekly rates. The front desk staff is not completely knowledgeable about their policies and it’s explained very poorly. Mi Lisa Macer is the general manager of the property. I am waiting on a call back from the district manager, Wanda Harris. The front desk clerks are not very knowledgeable of the policy and had been collecting payment from me according to what pops up on their tablet. The rate was one amount with them for the day, yet different from the GM. When I tried to explain and ask why, Macer refused to look at my receipt and refused to listen to me stating that there was no way it was that low.

I just got here from another state for a work contract at the hospital and stayed a week. It was the most negative experience I've witnessed. The staff gave me refund of half my deposit back on something that was shady on their part. They're very shady here at this location. They would not honor my corporate discount at all without trying to charge me a $100 deposit for each new reservation and the staff was rude and disrespectful. If you have a bad attitude then don't work in customer service. Please don't go here if you are a person who doesn't like conflict. And they denied my refund of my prepaid stay through my corporate discount so I'm fighting trying to get it refunded on my money I paid already and had to leave because they wanted to keep charging me a deposit over and over again
